Practical guide

Approvals that don’t stall the team

An editorial resource from Social Flow. These are process recommendations: they don’t describe features that are already available or guarantee results.

01 · One owner

Every post needs a person in charge and someone who can give final approval. Being able to see isn’t the same as being able to publish.

02 · One version

Comments belong to the exact version of the content. If the approved media or caption changes, decide when it needs another review.

03 · Actionable feedback

Explain what has to change and why. Separate required fixes from preferences. Avoid vague comments like “give it more flow”.

04 · Visible decision

Approved, changes requested and pending are told apart with words, not just colors. Record the date and who decided.

05 · Publishing is separate

Approving is an editorial decision. Publishing takes a later action and specific permissions.
